You ask, we answer.

Breast Lift surgery is usually a day care surgery. It means that your surgery is scheduled in the morning, you will be discharged by evening or night on the same day.

You can go back to work in 7 to 10 days.

Like any other surgery, mastopexy may be associated with complications like bleeding and infection, altered sensations are usually temporary and return over a period of time. On some occasions, there may be a slight asymmetry of breast. Wound breakdowns can occur in diabetes and smokers or obese patients and requires prolonged dressings.

Seroma (collection of fluid), hematoma (collection of blood), may occur and they resolve on their own and may require aspiration or surgery of the collection, if huge.

You can resume exercises after 6 to 8 weeks.

Crescentic and Doughnut lifts usually don’t leave any scars. Standard and vertical lift might leave a very fine line scar on the underside of your breast. This can be avoided if you follow the scar modulation regime instructed by your surgeon in the postoperative period.

Usually most of the patients need only one lift in their lifetime. The results hold good usually for a period of 10-15 years. However, remember that the breasts age constantly and sag only with the rest of the body.

In case of only breast lift, the cup size isn’t going to alter much as only excess skin is removed resulting in perky & curved youthful looking breasts.

In case of mastopexy with breast implant, the cup size will increase proportionate to your implant volume. For every 200gm of implant added, the size of the breast may go up by a cup size.

Yes, in women who have sagging breasts and want to have a more shapely breasts without implants, a procedure called Autoaugmentation (rearranging of lower pole tissues into the upper pole gives very good results) can be performed.
